Sketch of Roman blinds

It is kind of flat curtains different from the others by its elegance and rigor. At lifting of these curtains are formed by a delicate horizontal folds thanks to rigid wooden, metal, fiberglass inserts. They are located in a special kuliske, sewn in horizontal lines across the width of the curtains. The bottom edge of curtains keeps the stiffness due to the weighting introduced also in kulisku. Roman blinds are mounted on special eaves, with lifting blocks. Roman blinds are raised and lowered with cords threaded through rings on the reverse side.

Roman blinds are made of dry, hard curtain fabrics, though they look no less attractive is made of transparent cloth with borders of thick contrasting fabric. This model looks particularly elegant with decorative trimmed hem. It can be curly, enhanced by delicate wrought-iron mini-cornice, bamboo, etc.

Very often Roman blinds are sewn on the lining.
